In Melt Group we are searching for one of our clients, world leader in information technology and security systems, anOperations Managerwho, reporting to the General Manager in country, the Operations Manager is responsible for developing and implementing process improvements in all of the internal areas.
The candidate may also be responsible for managing the department budget, planning capital purchases, and hiring and training employees.
The Operations Manager will report issues regarding successes and failures of the department to the General Manager. The position will also have supervisory responsibilities for two IT Specialists.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the company services, through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions.
Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the country management team.
Achieve quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis; preparing and completing action plans;
identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change.
Improve operational systems, processes and policies in support of the company mission specifically, enhance / support management reporting, information flow and management, business processes and organizational planning.
Responsible for the planning and maintaining the infrastructure in optimal condition.
Liaison between the General Manager and the mid-range authorities in borders and airports.
Supervise the airport coordinators and IT Specialists.
Produce technical and management reports.
Must be hands-on manager for IT tasks.
Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering. Master degree in Project management or experience in related field a plus.
Fluency in written and spoken English and French with strong interpersonal and communications skills.
Four years project management experience required; two years’ experience with deployed immigration control software and hardware a plus.
Prior work experience in African Continent is highly desired. Strong IT skills.
